CRAW Star

Okey, so I was bored, and I was too lazy to even bother about making a 3D beaded star using this tutorial that I found on how to make 'em.
The simple reason to that was that I had to create two separate stars using right angle weave and then stitch 'em together.
I had tried my hands on this last month and for some reason I screwed it up and some of the units on one the stars was way out of what it was supposed to be.
So I laid this project on ice...

Yesterday I began to ponder about the 3D beaded star again and I couldn't help but thinking how it would end up if I would use cubic right angle weave instead of simple, flat right angle weave. It ends up into a 3D shape when stitched together anyway, no?

And yarp! It worked, I have now I perfectly beaded 3D star hanging in a key-chain from my bag, lol.

It wasn't really enough with just the cubic right angle weave to get the star tho. When everything was stitched together the star was kinda loose and way too flexible. What I did to give it a more solid shape is that I added a few beads on each side of the outer sides.
I did the same for the inner edges, but I had to remove the beads again, as that made the star look too much like some sort of flower, and that was definitely not what I was trying to get, heh.

Bracelet: Venus

Last night I managed to figure out what I wanted to do with some 12mm twisted bugle bead in amber with a frosted AB finish.
I managed to figure it out by playing around with some other beads, and some two toned 4mm czech glass beads that I ordered last week.
I thought the combination of amber looked so nice together with the two toned beads I wanted to make something with them.
I ended up making a bracelet using both right angle weave and ladder stitch and some fringing.
I know, it can look like the center parts of the bracelet is made separately but it's made with one single thread.
First I simply started out by picking up two 11/0, one bugle, two 11/0, one 4mm, two 11/0, one bugle, two 11/0 and one 4mm. Then I went back through the beads again until I ended my thread from the second bugle bead on the opposite side of where I first started. Here I picked up three 11/0's and began working my ladder stitch; I went back through the 11/0 I ended my thread from + one of the three 11/0's I just added. And so it progressed until I had a full stripe of two 11/0's, one bugle and two 11/0's. In total I worked my units so that I had 6 rows. Then I began fringing the unit and when that was done I began all over again so that I could make another unit :)

When I had the desired length of my bracelet I added a gold plated toggle clasp ^^;

Choker: Dead Princess

Managed to get the choker that I began making since I finished up the cuff I made in the beginning of the week.

I used the same RAW stitch and beads to make the base, and then I made a little fringe using some drop beads in two different sizes.

I also decided on making a tutorial on how I made this piece. Haven't made a tutorial before so we'll see, lol.

Bracelet: Dead Princess

I sat yesterday evening and played around with RAW stitch and some 7mm spiral bugle beads that I received as a gift last week from my mother-in-law.
I decided on making a little beaded cuff with the bugles and with some black 11/0 seed beads. I wanted at least another color in it, so figured that I actually for once would combine my absolute two favorite colors (together); red and black. I had some 9/0 seed beads in red lined silver hanging around since a while and hadn't figure out what to do with 'em... Until now!

I decided to combine 'em in a pattern following the bugles in the square and voila!

Then I snatches some cute butterfly and flower beads that I had laying around in the assorted red bead mix that I've been having since... A while anyway.
I embellished the cuff with a couple of those here and there in the center of the cuff. And then I added three 6mm fire polished glass beads in red, for the closing.

The cuff sits really nice and tightly around the wrist and I managed to get exactly what I desired with making this piece. And I've also planned on making a choker using the same technique and design.
